Creating Rules for Task Placement

The I work, I don’t care a single bit about Today/Upcoming/Later/New Tasks. I care about which project a task belongs in.

When a coworker assigns me a task, it almost always shows up in New Tasks.

I’d love to be able to create rules that place tasks in certain sections that I dictate within the ‘my tasks’ view.

Something simple … “if task contains ‘adidas’, place task in section = adidas”. Of course, I’d need to be able to create these sections as well.

I second that. Is there still no way to add rules that are triggered by events and then change tasks in Asana?

I believe “new today upcoming later” area a core functionality of the nature of how to use asana it self. And yes business rules / triggers / sections would take asana to another level.

I just feel that new assigned task should go to “new” regardless of the project / section the rule sets it to in order to use asana right.
