It would be very useful to be able to see away/vacation time right in the timeline, or when setting the due date, so that one knows when a certain person is unavailable and shouldn’t be assigned a task.

This is a great idea. It would be really handy when planning big projects to know when someone won’t be available in advance so we can reschedule and shuffle tasks accordingly.
