Could anyone tell me how I can end a project and download it to a local server.
Here is what you are looking for, the Guide will help:
End a project = archive a project
Download = export as CSV (but you might not have everything you need)

Yeah, I agree with Bastien. Exporting as a CSV is probably your best option if you want it on a local server. You’ll get all of the essential information - task, assignee, due dates, etc - plus the comments and custom field info.
I use this feature a lot for reporting.
