One concern in our organization around Asana is notification overload (particularly if a user has email notifications turned on)
One thing that can contribute is is that the default settings for new projects notify all users in a project of new tasks in that project.
Obviously it can be it can be adjusted by the PM or the participant, but we have not yet found a use case where this is the desired behavior.
Perhaps for a project that was being used as an “inbox” for bug reports or tickets would make sense. But making it opt in vs opt out would assist in a making sure a users the initial experience with Asana is not 30+ emails about new tasks in a project.
Conversations and Status seem to make sense to be “opt out” as those (in our experince) are much less frequent.
