Organization Tip of the Day- Postponed tasks

If you find yourself continuously pushing the date of something back, it might be time to reconsider whether that work is important. Ask yourself:

  1. Is this going to help me achieve my goals?
  2. Do I need to be the one to do this?
  3. Can I do this in under ten minutes?

If the answer to all three is yes, eat the frog and get it done rather than pushing it back again.

If the answer to #1 is no, get it out of your to-do list and into an Ideas project if you want to consider it again in the future, or complete it altogether.

If the answer to #2 is no, consider who else you can delegate the work to and re-assign the task and leave a comment.

If the answer to #3 is the only no, estimate how long you think it will take, be realistic about when it needs to be done by, and then set time on your calendar that day to get it done.
