Agreed! I just added a very similar Product Feedback before seeing this post.

Option to limit scope of custom fields

Custom fields are presently global to the organization. We have many teams, and many projects under those teams. Desired field selections for common custom fields like “priority” or “category” or “subsystem” are often different across teams and even projects. In the “edit field” dialog box, please provide an option for the scope of the custom field: e.g. available just to the project, or just to the team, or to the whole organization.

@Alexis, is there presently a way to merge similar Product Feedback items?
